πŸŒ€ Create Your First Flow

Ready to build a practice that suits you perfectly?
Here’s how to create your own custom flow in My Yoga Timer.

βž• Step 1: Go to the Create Tab

Tap the + button to create a new flow. Tap the title field to give your flow a name β€” something short and clear, like:

  • Morning Stretch
  • Yin Wind-Down
  • Box Breathing

You can edit this anytime later.

🧘 Step 2: Add Poses

Tap the + button to open the Pose Library.

A flow can include a mix of:

  • Poses – yoga asanas and stretches
  • Sequences – pre-saved pose combinations
  • Custom – your own created poses
  • Breath – breathing patterns and exercises

Tap any items you'd like to include. Numbers will appear to show the order.
When you're ready, tap "Add Poses" at the bottom.

They’ll be added to your flow in that order β€” but don’t worry, you can drag and drop to rearrange them later.

Each pose includes:

  • An image

  • A label (e.g. Downward Dog, Inhale)

  • A duration – default is 30 seconds (tap to change seconds or switch to number of breaths)

  • A Left/Right toggle, if applicable (tap the pose image to switch)

    • *

πŸ” Reordering Poses

You can change the order of your poses anytime:

  • Tap and hold a pose to drag and drop it

  • Or use the up/down arrows on each pose

    • *

🧩 Working with Sequences

Sequences are pre-built groups of poses shown as a stack:

  • Tap the stack to expand or collapse

  • When collapsed, you can move the whole sequence as one item

  • When expanded, you can reorder or edit individual poses inside

    • *

πŸ“¦ Grouping Your Own Sequences

Want to group poses you've added individually?

To group poses:

  1. Tap the three vertical dots in the top bar
  2. Choose "Select"
  3. Tap the checkbox on each pose you want to group
  4. Tap the three dots again and choose "Group"

This creates a New Sequence within your flow.

You can adjust the Left and Right toggle to apply to the entire group - useful for if you are repeating a set of poses on the other side.

From the three-dot menu on the sequence, you can:

  • Rename it
  • Copy it
  • Save it to your Sequence Library for use in other flows
  • Ungroup to separate it back into individual poses
  • Delete it (this removes all poses in the group from the flow)

πŸ’‘ You can add as many poses as you like β€” flows can be simple or detailed.

🎡 Adjusting Sound Settings

Currently, sound settings apply globally β€” not per flow.

Before you press Start, tap Play Settings to adjust:

  • Voice cues
  • Chimes
  • Background music

These will apply to all flows until you change them again.
You can also set global defaults under Settings in the profile menu.

βœ… Step 4: Save and Try It Out

Your flow saves automatically β€” so you can tap the back arrow anytime without losing progress.

Once it's ready:

  • Find it in the Create tab under Flows
  • Tap the Heart β™‘ icon to Favourite it β€” it will now appear on your Dashboard
  • Tap to Preview, tweak settings, or Start your practice

✨ You can edit or duplicate your flow anytime.

🎯 Tip: Start Small

You don’t need a full class to begin β€” try a 5-minute flow to stretch or breathe and get familiar with how it works.
